Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 8, 2026

USmeteo.com ("we", "us") provides weather forecasts for cities and towns across the United States. This policy explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not request your name, address or phone number to show a forecast. The site collects:

  • Usage data — pages viewed, approximate region (derived from IP address), device type, browser and referring site. This is collected through Google Analytics in aggregated form.
  • Technical data — IP address, time of request and user agent, processed by our hosting provider to deliver pages and protect the service from abuse.
  • Messages you send us — if you use the contact form, we receive the name, e-mail address and message text you provide, solely to reply to you.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We and our partners use them to remember your preferences, measure traffic, and select and measure advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; forecast pages continue to work without them, though some conveniences may be lost.

Advertising

This site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense and may work with additional advertising partners.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info and networkadvertising.org.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. Sharing of identifiers with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising may qualify as "sharing" under that law; you can opt out through the advertising links above or by enabling a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form on this site. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with such information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and security

Analytics data is retained in aggregated form according to the settings of the analytics provider. Messages sent through the contact form are kept only as long as needed to answer them, and no longer than 60 days. We use HTTPS on every page, and access to submitted messages is limited to the site operator.

Weather data sources

Forecasts are produced from open meteorological data of global numerical models. Historical climate figures are computed from long-term reanalysis datasets. Forecasts are provided for information only and must not be used as the sole basis for decisions where weather may affect safety or property.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page; the date at the top always shows the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
